Meet Dr. Debra Warren-Waddles

A proud graduate of Howard University, Debra Waddles is a retired educator and award-winning mentor whose lifelong mission has been to uplift and empower at-risk youth. With a distinguished career in the Baltimore City Public School System, she served as an educator, program manager, and mentor—roles that reflect her dedication to transforming lives through education, the arts, and compassionate guidance.

Debra’s impact as an innovative leader and advocate for youth earned her recognition as Baltimore City Teacher of the Year. Through her initiatives, including the EmpowerED Program and You Are Royal, she continues to help young people build self-esteem, discipline, and purpose through academic support, creative expression, and personal development.

Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Debra remains a driving force in youth empowerment—guiding students to embrace their worth, set meaningful goals, and pursue excellence with resilience and confidence.
